When you submit a website for inclusion on u-Hits.com, you agree to abide by the following policies. Failure to understand and follow these instructions will generally result in the rejection of a submission. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your site conforms to these guidelines. Sites not meeting these criteria may be removed without notice and in the case of paid submission, no refunds will be given.

Site content

We do not accept sites that contain content that is considered racist, anti-religious and anti-semetic or are involved in hate, crime, violence, paid gaming (gambling), sexist, lude and indecent activites or pornography of ANY kind. Furthermore, sites that are found to link to third-party sites with such content will also be rejected. Any site that is found to infringe on, or violate a person's rights, or contain material that promotes/disseminates illegal activities will be reported to relevent authorities.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content and activities on your site are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

To the extent that pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices are offered or promoted on your site, you certify that you are a licensed health care provider or other entity authorized to prescribe, distribute or otherwise deal in such products in the jurisdictions in which they are sold.

Site availability

Your site must be complete and not under construction.

u-Hits regularly checks the availability of submitted sites and as such, sites that are constantly offline may, at the decretion of u-Hits, be temporarly disabled or removed completely from our database and search results. This is done to ensure accurate and reliable results when a user searches our site. If you expect your site to be offline for a considerable amount of time, please contact us and we will suspend your site from our listing until you advise us otherwise. Paid submission will only ever be suspended and can be reactivated at any time by request. However, u-Hits will endeavour to contact the submitter of these sites well before any suspension takes place.

Submission Information

Please ensure any information you enter into the submission form is complete and accurate. Although we do our best to check all submissions, we cannot be held responsible for errors in listings that were made when the form was completed.

Your site title should be short and to the point.

Your site description should be accurate and consise. No false claims should be made. Although not prohibited by us, you should try to avoid quoting prices in your description as your listing would no longer be accurate if your prices change. If you state "We are the cheapest available", then you should make sure you are.

When setting custom meta-tags and meta-description, please be aware that these just as important as you main siteb description.

Also be aware that these tags are only relevent for paid or reciprocal listings, as non-reciprocal listings automatically have a 'nofollow' tag added. If these have been set for non-recipocal listings, they will be removed prior to submssion.

IMPORTANT:  The email address you supply to us must be valid and in use. We do not send SPAM mail, but when you submit a site for inclusion into our database, we will send you a confirmation email when you first submit your site and another when we approve it. If these emails are 'bounced' back for any reason, we may reject your submission!

General Redirection / Rotation

u-Hits currently does not accept sites that utilise a general redirection or rotation service, although we may consider this for the future. U-Hits are unable to monitor content of redirected sites and until such a time as a solution to this problem becomes available, u-Hits will continue to deny these type of submissions.

Affiliate / referral link submissions

We currently accept static affiliate links, but ONLY as paid submissions and only only on a first-come, first-served basis. If the business you are advertising has already been submitted to u-Hits, we will not accept any further affiliate links to it unless they are removed by the original submitter.

Redirected Affiliate Links may also be submitted, but only as paid inclusions and again, only one submission linking to each merchant will be accepted. These must also use an established and recognisable agency such as TradeDoubler or Commission Junction. Please be aware that due to their own terms and conditions, your affiliate links submitted to u-Hits.com may not be trackable by them and any sales generated through them may not be credited to you. Also, The page Rank shown for these type of submissions may not be accurate.

Target Market

If your site is targeted at a niche market, for example, 'only sells products to residents of Scotland': then please submit it to a regiional directory. In this case, 'Regional/Europe/United Kingdom/Scotland'. We would then create categories relevent to your submission as we review them.

Sites that are found to be aimed at a niche market but are placed in general categories will be moved by admin. This is done to ensure relevent results when a users performs a search. Using the example above, if a user submits a general search for 'Scotland', then all results would only be relevent to Scotish residents or people interested in Scotland

Foreign Language Sites

The langauge of this website is primaraly English, However, foreign language websites may be listed in the u-Hits directory, provided that, if no English language page exists for the website, or the link submitted points to a non-english version, it must be placed in the 'Regional' directory pertaining to the country of origin. If an English page exists, the URL of that page may be placed in any relevent category.

Submission Removal / Alteration

You can remove your submissions at any time you want by simply logging onto your account and choosing 'review submission'. There you will find options to remove or change your entry. Any changes will go back to admin for re-approval.

We no longer accept requests for removal of links via our contact form, due to the high ammount of non-authorised removal requests that we have received from business competitors. Any removal requests MUST either be requested from the email used at the time of submission, an email from the SAME domain as the submitted website, or via the submit form removal option.

If you remove a paid submission, u-Hits will not offer any refunds, unless a genuine error has occured. We may, at our sole descretion, offer you a refund or the opportunity to submit a new link for free.

u-Hits administration reserves the right to deem what is acceptable, or not, for inclusion into this directory.
